Altamix Concrete manufactures and installs a high strength, durable concrete pavement, made with the same spec material as traditional concrete Being that it is mixed with a very low water ratio, it is laid by traditional pavement equipment, and can handle high traffic loads with a very short cure time. Concrete pavement, or 'roller compacted concrete' (RCC) has the strength and performance as conventional concrete, but with the economy and simplicity as traditional asphalt. RCC pavements eliminate common and costly problems associated with regular ashpalt, which includes:
- Resists rutting
- Spans soft localized sub grades
- Will not deform under heavy concentrated loads
- Does not deteriorate from oil or fuel spills
- Does not soften under high temperatures
- Is a fraction of the cost of traditional concrete
